The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Divisional Operational Communication Centre took 7,701 calls for service in the past week. That’s the highest total since the first weekly report from the RCMP at the beginning of May. The report notes that summer is typically the RCMP’s busiest time, so the trend of a higher number of calls will likely continue. The highest number of calls came in on July 1st with 1,294.

RCMP officers were witnesses to a funnel cloud last Wednesday afternoon, southwest of Foam Lake, and took a picture of it. Environment Canada later confirmed there had been a tornado in the area. Officers checked on homes in the affected area after the storm to ensure everyone was safe.
On a different note, someone is missing a lot of rubber boots.
The report includes an investigation from the Maidstone RCMP from the evening of June 19th.
Officers were told that 20 to 25 steel toe Viking Mining boots were found on the side of a road just outside of Lloydminster.
They are all sizes 14/15.
If you know who they belong to, contact the Maidstone RCMP.
