Sentencing arguments were heard and victim impact statements were filed in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday in connection to the Humboldt RCMP investigation into the death of 20 year old Allan Douglas Garrioch. He was reported to have been kidnapped on February 25th of 2020, and his body was found days later near a bluff of trees in the Bruno area.
In May, Tristan Daniel Morrison was found guilty of first degree murder and Steven Veilleux, guilty of manslaughter. They both pleaded guilty to unlawful confinement of Garrioch’s girlfriend. She told police she had been the victim of a home invasion and her boyfriend, Allan Garrioch, who also went by the surname Glasier, had been kidnapped. The two will hear their sentencing decisions on August 24th.
