It took about 100 minutes for the narrative surrounding the most celebrated ankle in Saskatchewan to change!
When the Roughriders’ roster and depth chart for Saturday’s visit to Edmonton was first released, star import receiver Duke Williams was listed as the starting slotback. However, just after Noon, a revised roster and depth chart had Williams on the one-game injured list because of a rolled ankle suffered on Wednesday during practice. Import running back Frankie Hickson, who was initially placed on the one-game I-L, will now suit up for the Green and White against the Elks while Regina product Mitch Picton will start at slotback in place of Williams. Otherwise, the other changes from last week’s roster for the Riders remain the same. 2022 first round C-F-L Canadian Draft pick Samuel Emilus is on the roster as a wide receiver and will make his C-F-L debut Saturday in Edmonton. In addition, Canadian defensive back Kosi Onyeka and import defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas have been added in place of Canadian linebacker A-J Allen and homebrew defensive lineman Charbel Dabire. The latter is on the one-game I-L with a knee injury while Allen has been placed on the six-game injury list.
