The spring runoff is going to be well below normal over southwest, south-central, and most of west-central Saskatchewan.
The provincial Water Security Agency estimates there is less than 15 millimetres of snow equivalent water in the well below normal zone, with most of the southwest at zero millimetres.
Saskatoon sits on the line between the below normal and well below normal runoff zones. North Battleford, Scott, Melfort, Humboldt, Watrous and Elbow are all in the below normal area.
The near normal runoff zone is confined to the eastern third of the province while much of the extreme northern grainbelt can anticipate above average runoff. The only grain growing area forecast to experience well above normal runoff is Meadow Lake.
