Roads
Needless to say there are a whole lot of highways in Saskatchewan this morning that are showing up white on the Highway Hotline map which means “travel not recommended”. This includes around Saskatoon, Humboldt, North Battleford, Kindersley, Kenaston, Wilkie, Biggar, Delisle and Rosetown.
But highways are actually closed in some areas like Highway 11 between Davidson and Bethune, Highway 2 from Chamberlain to Moose Jaw and highways out of Moose Jaw and Regina are travel not recommended which quickly becomes highways closed the further east you travel.
Saskatoon Police advise drifting snow has closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of Claypool Drive between Hampton Gate and Airport Drive. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area.
The snow and wind are creating icy conditions on sections of Saskatoon streets and freeways and drivers are advised to use extra caution as well as give themselves extra stopping distance.

Where blowing snow combines with flurries, near white-out conditions may be possible.
