In February, the YMCA of Saskatoon is thanking the community for “having a heart” by trying to help uplift everyone during what can be dark days of winter. The organization says kids involved in YMCA programs have created hearts filled with inspirational messages which are being displayed at local businesses, long-term care homes and grocery stores.
Along with this, the YMCA is urging everyone to donate to the Strong Kids Campaign, which removes economic barriers for children and their families, and provides access to various YMCA services. From February 1st to the 14th, all donations will be matched by the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, up to $75,000. Donations can be made in person, by calling the YMCA or through the YMCA of Saskatoon website. All proceeds go directly to supporting Saskatoon and area families.
