COVID could not keep the Western Canadian Crop Production Show down for a second year.
Planning started six months ago and the four day event will begin on Monday, January 10th. The first exhibitors started moving into the various Halls at Saskatoon Prairieland Park on Wednesday afternoon. It will take three days for all 350 exhibitors from across the prairie provinces to set up their displays and move their equipment indoors.
“Our exhibitors are excited to be back,” said Lori Cates, agriculture manager at Saskatoon Prairieland Park. “The exhibitors are telling us that they need to get back in front of their customers. They want that face-to-face contact. This show has always been about doing business. I think it is going to be the same thing this year and that’s what we are geared up for.”
The Western Canadian Crop Production Show will operate under all current provincial COVID-19 guidelines, including masks, proof of vaccination or an an approved negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of attendance.
CropSphere and the various crop organization annual general meetings will be held in conjunction with the Western Canadian Crop Production Show. In addition, the Saskatchewan Agriculture Hall of Fame will announce their 2021 inductees on Tuesday afternoon.
