The Government of Saskatchewan’s dashboard is reporting 492 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Saturday. Saskatoon accounted for most of the new infections with 127. The North West zone reported the second most cases with 85. Four new deaths were reported in Saturday’s update bringing the provincial death toll to 667. The 7-day average for new infections is at 477 (39.6 cases per 100,000). 4,751 cases are considered active. Almost one-third of Saturday’s new infections (31 per cent) are in the 20 to 39 age bracket. Hospitalizations are up 6 from Friday to 282. Of those 282 receiving treatment in hospital, 61 are an ICU and two are PICU/NICU hospitalizations.

- As of September 25th, there are 492 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 64,949 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (28), Far North Central (1), Far North East (16), North West (85), North Central (30), North East (15), Saskatoon (127), Central West (11), Central East (20), Regina (47), South West (32), South Central (20) and South East (32) zones and twenty-eight (28) new cases have pending residence information.
- Eighteen (18) cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (from September 23 (1)), North West (from September 23 (3)), North Central (from September 12 (1), September 16 (1), September 23 (3)), North East (from September 20 (1), September 23 (1)), Central East (from September 21 (1), September 23 (1)), Regina (from September 20 (1), September 22 (2)), South Central (from September 19 (1)), and South East (from September 23 (1)) zones.

- Almost one-third (31%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
- Just over one in five (21.7%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
- As of September 25th, a total of 282 individuals are hospitalized; including 219 inpatient hospitalizations, 61 ICU hospitalizations and 2 PICU/NICU hospitalizations. Of the 280 patients, 225 (80.4%) were not fully vaccinated (Two (2) PICU/NICU hospitalizations are not included in this patient count).
- Four (4) new deaths reported today. 667 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.0.
- 1,113,989 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 23rd, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 937,394 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,123,656 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 477 (39.6 new cases per 100,000).
