The KidSport, “Back to Sport with Viterra” project launched Tuesday. It is designed to ensure that kids have an opportunity to run, jump, learn and play through sport. This month, Viterra will match all donations to KidSport Saskatchewan up to $5,000 to get kids off the sidelines and into the game. Money raised stays in each local Saskatchewan community.
Viterra is also challenging other Saskatchewan organizations to get involved.
In 2020, even with COVID-19 restrictions and the different look of many organized sports, KidSport Saskatchewan granted about $656 thousand to help nearly four thousand children and youth in the province to get off the sidelines and into the game. That’s in addition to the over $13 million raised and more than 150,000 kids helped in KidSport’s 25 years in the province.
