The Saskatchewan Health Authority says if you’ve been hesitant about getting your COVID-19 vaccine, or haven’t had the time to wait in line, now is the time to make your decision and roll up your sleeves!
In Saskatoon this weekend, there will be two special Pfizer POP-UP FIRST DOSE ONLY clinics, where you can just walk up and get immunized. Today [fri] from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the No Frills grocery store, 22nd Street West. And, Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 21st St between 1st and 2nd Ave – in front of Midtown. Saturday’s FIRST DOSE clinic will be providing free ice-cream or free kettle corn for anyone showing their first dose coupon. Coupons will be handed out by immunizers once the vaccine dose has been delivered. Anyone aged 12 or older is eligible for their first dose of Pfizer.
If by Sunday, June 20, 70 per cent of people age 18 and older have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, all remaining public health restrictions will be removed at this time, except for limits on gathering sizes and indoor masking. If 70 per cent of people age 12 and above have received their first dose by June 20, we could see ALL restrictions lifted as early as July 11
