Environment Canada announced on Saturday that they have confirmed a tornado which was reported near Biggar, exactly one week ago, on June 5th.
At approximately 3 p.m. that day a tornado was observed near the community and Environment and Climate Change Canada received reports
and photos of damage from the tornado. This tornado has been given a
preliminary rating of EF0.
Environment Canada meteorologists continue to seek out pictures of the tornado as well as any damage it may have caused. Anyone with information regarding the June 5th weather event is asked to call 1-800-239-0484, send an email to skstorm@canada.ca, or tweet to #skstorm.
