The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations is expressing sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Senator Melvin Littlecrow.
He served as a Councillor for the Whitecap Dakota First Nation, and was a Board member for the Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation.
In 2007, the Saskatoon Tribal Council appointed Littlecrow to the Senate of the FSIN.
Chief Bobby Cameron says Littlecrow was a highly respected Elder and language keeper, deeply rooted in his traditional and cultural ways.
