Flat Out Food is based on a book written by Saskatoon journalist and author Jenn Sharp.
The six part series visits a variety of farms and restaurants across the province. Each program concludes with a stunning meal using Saskatchewan grown ingredients like lentils, chanterelle mushrooms, bison, honey and fiddleheads.
“We are adding value in Saskatchewan—not exporting it away—keeping it in the province and selling it to consumers here in ways people might not have thought about before,” Sharp said.
Flat Out Food is produced by Regina-based HalterMedia. The series was filmed in over a dozen locations around the province.
The first episode will air on February 24 at 10pm on Citytv Saskatchewan. It will continue every Wednesday until March 31.
