RCMP say the body of a man missing and presumed drowned in Lake Diefenbaker has been recovered. The 35 year old victim was discovered at 1:15 p.m. Monday approximately 30 metres from the shore near Gardiner Dam. An autopsy will be conducted later this week and the drowning is not considered suspicious at this time. The 35 year old man was swimming in the lake with a friend last Thursday and he never made it back to shore.
