A long-time defensive stalwart has re-signed for another season with the Saskatchewan Rush.
Kyle Rubisch inked a one-year deal with Saskatchewan Thursday, meaning he’ll play a 10th season as a defender with the Rush. The 31-year-old is the N-L-L’s all-time leader in caused turnovers and a four-time Defensive Player-of-the-Year. Rubisch has been a member of all three Rush championship teams and a five-time N-L-L first team all-star. Rubisch was originally drafted second overall by Boston in 2010 and was the N-L-L rookie-of-the-year in 2011.
