RCMP say a passenger was removed in Winnipeg from an aircraft, flying Vancouver to Toronto.

RCMP were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and they allege a 60 year old man on board the flight, lit a cigarette during the flight, refused to follow directions from the flight crew, and refused to wear his personal protective face mask when told to do so.

Balvir Singh of Surrey, BC is charged with Mischief Over $5,000, Smoke onboard aircraft, and two counts of Fail to Comply with instructions of flight crew. He was remanded into custody as the investigation continues.
