There will not be a 34th champion declared in the National Lacrosse League.
The N-L-L announced Thursday that it will not complete the 2019-20 season, choosing to focus its attention and efforts on preparing for next season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the N-L-L suspended its regular season on March 12th and cancelled the regular-season on April 6th. Hopes of playing a tournament-style playoffs later this summer had been discussed by the league. The Saskatchewan Rush are part of the 13-team professional lacrosse league, with teams based from coast-to-coast in Canada and the United States. Dates for when the 2020-21 season will start have yet to be determined.
