Damage is about $400 thousand after a fire at the Westgate Inn on the 25 hundred block of 22nd Street West over the noon hour on Monday.

The Saskatoon Fire Department says their firefighters rescued seven people.

With two rooms fully involved in fire, crews put up ladders to help six people off of a balcony. Another person was helped from a first floor room directly under one of the rooms on fire.

A pregnant woman who is believed to have suffered minor injuries in the fire was taken to hospital. the cause remains under investigation.
