The Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission received seven nominations for three available director positions.
The candidates are:
-Scott Hepworth (Assiniboia)
-Lesley Kelly (Watrous)
-Garth Massie (Biggar)
-Brady Sproat (Kipling)
-Glenn Tait (Meota)
-Jocelyn Velestuk (Broadview)
-Stewart Wells (Swift Current)
Candidate biographies and profiles will be on the SaskWheat website later this week.
The election period starts October 18 and will close on November 29. Producers can use a mail-in ballot or vote electronically. Election results will be announced in early December.
SaskBarley received four nominations for three director positions.
-Keith Rueve (Muenster)
-Michael Haydon (Swift Current)
-Matt Enns (Rosthern)
-Glenn Wright (Vanscoy)
SaskBarley will have candidate profiles on-line and in the fall newsletter. Mail-in ballots will be sent next month and an electronic voting option will available.
Saskatchewan Pulse Growers will not require a director election. The three positions have been filled by acclamation with two new directors and one from the current board.
Current SPG Chair Brad Blackwell of Dinsmore will continue for a second term. John Bumbac of Assiniboia and Jason Hennes of Eatona will join the SPG Board in January.
