Two people are facing numerous charges after a traffic stop on the Trans Canada Highway near Indian Head Thursday just before noon. The RCMP were getting calls about a vehicle’s driving behaviour, including one that said there was a minor collision between the car and another vehicle.
Police say a vehicle was stopped and officers report that numerous fake I.D.s were found inside, fraudulent financial and bank cards, I.D.s of people not in the vehicle, electronic equipment that could be used to intercept signals, counterfeit document making equipment,and tax, cheques and other government documents connected to the fake I.D.s, along with drugs suspected to be meth.
29 year old Shawn Anderson and 33 year old Stephanie Maisey of North Bay, Ontario are facing charges that include possession of false I.D. and stolen property, drug possession, dangerous driving and possession of equipment used to create counterfeits. The two remain in custody and will appear in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court on Monday.
Police say the investigation continues.
