Cannabis use can bring on schizophrenia. That is among the findings of researchers who studied a possible link between users with a genetic predisposition for the disorder. Dr. Candice Crocker says it was worry some to find out there is no way to know in advance if someone is more likely to develop schizophrenia. She also noted development of the psychosis could happen years earlier if the predisposed user is ingesting cannabis with high T-H-C levels. Crocker points out cannabis use could be very detrimental to normal brain development in teenager users.
