Well, I’m back in the saddle again to quote an old song title. Thank you to our News Director, Vanese Ferguson, for filling in while I was away. And a big hello to my fellow Coffeetalk Vacationers who spent either one or two weeks with us down in Punta Cana. From my standpoint, all in all I believe it was a great trip. The weather was terrific, the hotel was very nice with large, clean rooms and a very friendly staff. The resort had changed ownership just a couple of months before our visit and quite a few staff were new, some of which didn’t have a good command of English, and my Spanish doesn’t go much beyond, “Hello, how are you, I’m fine, please and thank you”. Looking back, I feel sorry for some of the restaurant servers who no doubt were trying their best but ordering an omelette for breakfast and getting bacon and eggs didn’t seem funny at the time, eh Dewaine? A number of our travelers asked where we will go in January, 2020, and we will work on that very soon. We always prefer to seek out a destination that we haven’t been to in the past, although we do have our favourites like Huatulco. As soon as we pick a place I will let you know and we can make plans to escape winter’s sting for a week or two like we did this year. And, boy, did we go away at the right time this year or what?
