A rally to stand up for Canada’s energy, mining and agriculture sectors, is planned for this morning (tues) at the Saskatchewan Legislature. Organized by Canada Action and Rally for Resources, the gathering takes place at 11:45 AM. Cody Battershill, Founder of Canada Action.ca said they are looking for a peaceful respectful protest that remains non-partisan.
He said they are asking supporters to bring a homemade sign, wear your hardhat or your work overalls, but do not wear a yellow vest. They also ask that participants make their signs respectful and non-partisan.
The group is hoping to get support from, and hear from, Premier Scott Moe during the rally.
Organizers of Canada Action and Rally for Resources says they are working on the event with the Regina Chamber of Commerce, the Building Trades Union and United Steelworkers. Battershill says they want the country to realize there is a balanced conversation taking place.
