Saskatoon Co-op employees who are members of UFCW Local 1400 are voting today (Fri) on a new offer from their employer.
CEO Grant Wicks says the two sides re-opened discussions and he feels their latest offer would be good for the employees.
The strike began on November 1st and the sticking point has always been a two-tier wage where new workers would be on a lower wage scale than the current employees and would remain that way.
Wicks says the offer includes a revised version of this wage structure.
The approximately 900 UFCW Local 1400 members have been without a contract since November of 2016.
