The search for a Nigerian student at the University of Regina has come to a tragic end.
On Thursday night, Regina police confirmed a body found on the 5000 block of Sherwood Drive on December 21 belongs to Promise ”Max” Chukwudum.
He had not been seen since the night of November 17 with Regina police conducting aerial and ground searches for the 19-year-old in an attempt to find him while asking the public to check their sheds and yards.
Regina Police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are conducting a death investigation to more fully understand the circumstances of this death. There are still investigative tasks to be carried out in this case, some of which will take months to complete. However, at this stage in the investigation there is no indication that Chukwudum was a victim of foul play. (CKRM)
