Across the country and across the United States, schools, businesses, and public areas were targeted by bomb threats yesterday (thurs). Authorities say the threats were an extortion attempt with some of the emails demanding Bitcoin payments. Saskatoon and Regina were not immune. Police here say a business on the 25 hundred block of Millar Avenue was evacuated for a short time as a precaution after receiving one of the threats. Regina Police say they are aware of four such threats in their city. RCMP say, if people receive one of these threats, don’t respond to the demand. But they should also contact their local police service.
