Every year, the City of Saskatoon conducts a civic satisfaction survey, but this year it has been fleshed out into two surveys, to gather priorities as the City moves to a two-year business plan and budget.
The first two-year budget will be in 2020-21.
Director of Communications, Carla Blumers explains that there will be a larger two-year budget, but the budget will also be tabled annually.
This summer’s civic survey by phone, through an online panel and through an online survey showed that 87 per cent of respondents are satisfied with living in Saskatoon and 84 per cent rate the quality of life as good or very good.
92 per cent believe the City provides a good mix of recreation, sport and cultural facilities, but only 47 per cent feel the City is making downtown an appealing destination.
You can take part in the second survey, which is available on the city’s website until December 16th.
Blumers says it’s about services like road maintenance, traffic flow, bus service, and police and fire services.
