Tuesday at 10 a.m., the Estevan RCMP received a report of an abandoned truck north of Bienfait that turned out to be stolen. Officers were in the process of towing the vehicle when suddenly another vehicle came down the road.
Officers tried to stop the second vehicle, but the vehicle fled and speed off.
The vehicle was then located in the town of Bienfait and the vehicle once again fled at a high speed when officers attempted another traffic stop.
The suspect was then located driving the vehicle on a grid road near Roche Percee, this time the vehicle lost control and collided into an RCMP vehicle.
A pursuit that lasted for 17 kilometres and involved the RCMP vehicle that had been hit and another vehicle from Estevan Police was initiated.
The pursuit came to an end when the vehicle was struck and stopped by the RCMP vehicle.
Two men were then arrested including a 33 year old from Edmonton and a 32 year old from Invermere, B.C. Both face multiple charges and both will make their next court appearance in Estevan on December 10th.
