The widespread power outages that were experienced in Saskatchewan have mostly been dealt with by SaskPower. Last night (tues) around nine o’clock the company said ice and frost were still a concern, leaving the system in a delicate situation. High winds that were forecast overnight could either help to shake the frost off the lines or could cause the lines to bang together which could result in further outages. As of five o’clock Wednesday morning, SaskPower’s outage map shows an area just outside of Rosetown and Elrose, but encompassing Milden, Wiseton and Dinsmore as the only area experiencing an unplanned outage.
