The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is running for a 20th year. The brightly lit locomotive begins its run through Southern Saskatchewan today (Wed) in Moosomin. It arrives just before noon and departs at 12:30 for Broadview with afternoon stops in Indian Head and Qu’Appelle before resting for the night after an evening stop in Regina. Entertainers on this train are Terri Clark, Sierra Noble and Kelly Prescott. The train heads to Moose Jaw and Swift Current tomorrow and wraps up its Saskatchewan tour Friday in Maple Creek. The other train that started in the U-S has stops in North Portal, Estevan and Weyburn on Sunday December 16th. Those taking in the free events in those communities are asked to make donations of cash or non-perishable items for their food banks. C-P says since 1999 the event has raised $14.5 million and over 4-million pounds of food.
