Saskatchewan’s Central Services Minister stated the government is making progress hiring visible minorities.

Ken Cheveldayoff said the hiring goals are difficult to achieve but are a priority and the number has increased substantially.

The NDP claimed the number of government employees with disabilities are declining despite the provincial government’s goal to increase that category.

Cheveldayoff pointed out the government is working on those employment equity issues while ensuring taxpayers money is well spent.
