Construction investment in residential construction in September rose 5.8 per cent in Saskatchewan compared to the same month a year ago. Statistics Canada says the only province that could better that was Nova Scotia where investment rose 20.1 per cent. The national average was a rise of only 0.4 per cent. Total investment here was about $193 million. On the non-residential side, investment slipped in Saskatchewan 3.9 per cent. On average across the country, there was no change in investment. Of the provinces, Saskatchewan had the worst performance. Total investment here was $110 million.
