The accident on Highway 41, about 8 kilometres southwest of Wakaw was a fatal one. Emergency crews responded just before 8 Wednesday morning. RCMP say from the initial investigation, it’s believed a westbound semi hauling crusher dust collided with an eastbound car. The man driving the car was declared dead at the scene. His name is not being released at this time. There were no passengers in either vehicle and the semi driver wasn’t injured. The highway was closed in both directions with detours in place until late afternoon, but it has been re-opened.
