A 25 year old woman is dead and a 16 year old boy injured after a shooting incident on the weekend. Saturday morning around 10:15, Montreal Lake RCMP attended a residence on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation. A teenager was taken to hospital with an apparent gunshot wound; injuries not considered life-threatening. A black car was seen leaving the area. Prince Albert RCMP found a car matching the description on Highway 2 near the Christopher Lake turnoff. The vehicle stopped and two people fled on foot. Officers found the body of 25 year old Trina Bird in the vehicle. It appeared she had been shot. Officers and police dogs from several agencies were called in to assist and two men were tracked down and taken into custody. The investigation continues.
