The Saskatchewan Party’s longest serving MLA and one of the party’s founding members, is retiring. Dan D’Autremont announced last night to his constituents at a gathering in Arcola that he will not seek re-election in two years time. D’Autremont is the MLA for Cannington.
D’Autremont is one of eight people who started the Saskatchewan Party. The 67-year-old politician was first elected to the legislature in 1991 as an Opposition MLA and has been returned to office in every election since. The next provincial election is slated for 2020.
