SaskTel’s I Am Stronger program has become a month long event. The crown corporation says with national Bullying Awareness Week running from November 12th to the 17th, they have decided to dedicate the entire month of November as “I Am Stronger Month”. Since the program’s inception in 2013, I Am Stronger has encouraged Saskatchewan youth to stand up to bullying activities. On Wednesday, Greenall High School in Balgonie will become the first rural school to host the event’s rally after receiving a grant for the school’s outdoor school program which promotes kindness to both people and the environment. Greg Jacobs from SaskTel says in addition to Wednesday’s rally in Balgonie, this month SaskTel will be publishing stories on their website about past grant recipients. Since 2013, SaskTel along with the Ministry of Education have awarded 73 grants of more than $64,000 dollars as part of the I Am Stronger program.
