Another Husky Energy Community Enhancement project has been announced in Prince Albert. A double-sided digital billboard will be installed at the Northeast corner of 2nd Avenue West and 15th Street. It will be for the exclusive use of the City of Prince Albert. Mayor Greg Dionne says the billboard has been talked about for years. He says it will serve as a welcome sign and also as a tool to promote services, events and activities. Previously, it was announced that Husky Energy would pay for the replacement of a paddling pool with a new spray park and would finish the Rotary Trail in that city’s west end. The latest announcement is the third and final project of the partnership of the company and the city.
Husky Energy is the company that had the oil spill in 2016 affecting communities downstream along the North Saskatchewan River, including Prince Albert.
