There are two Remembrance Day events being held at the University of Saskatchewan. Tomorrow (thurs), a memorial bench will be unveiled to honour the 345 students, staff, and faculty members who served in the First World War. The bench was carved by a local stonemason. The ceremony will be at 11:00 o’clock Thursday morning at the Memorial Union Building Courtyard at 93 Campus Drive.
Then, there will be a ceremony at the Memorial Gates on Memorial Crescent on campus. That’s at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. That follows the city-wide service at SaskTel Centre Sunday morning. The doors will open there at 9:00. The ceremony will begin at 10:25 and will end at 12:15.
