Statistics Canada says the economy added 11,200 jobs in October. The unemployment rate decreased to 5.8 per cent from 5.9 per cent in September. Economists had expected an unemployment rate of 5.9 per cent.
Saskatchewan’s rate fell to 6.2 from 6.4. four provinces were lower.
Saskatoon fell to 6.9 from 7.4. Of 34 cities surveyed, 29 were lower including Regina which rose to 6.8 from 6.4
