A 35-year-old man has received a six month jail sentence in an incident that ended when he was wounded by Saskatoon Police.
Micheal Andrew Arcand was taken into custody in September of last year after trying to break into a car on the 200 block of 4th Avenue South.
Police say Arcand resisted arrest, fired on officers and fled toward 20th Street.
Police say they used their service issued firearms when taser and bean bag rounds proved ineffective.
A home-made gun with a live round in the chamber was found at the scene.
