Happening Friday afternoon at Station 20 West is an event focusing on reconciliation within the queer community. Jack Saddleback from OutSaskatoon will be presenting and will be touching on colonization and the impacts it had on the queer community. Saddleback says they’re seeing racial tension and ignorance around Indigenous cultures within the queer community, therefore the impact of colonization has been huge. Saddleback says Friday’s conversations and discussions will be about what still needs to happen and the challenges for the two-spirited community and reconciliation within the queer community and how people can address these issues in a meaningful way. Everyone is welcome to attend the event. The Reconciliation Within the Queer Community event is part of the Reconciliation Saskatoon Monthly Learning Event. Reconciliation Within the Queer Community runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
