Saskatoon Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a dark-coloured van that is reported to have been involved in a hit and run Monday afternoon.

Around 3:45, officers responded to Avenue T North and Rusholme Road in the Mount Royal neighbourhood for a report of a vehicle that had hit a child.

When officers arrived, they found a 7 year old boy suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say it’s reported that the boy was walking across Avenue T when he was struck.

The vehicle then reportedly fled the scene westbound on Bedford Road.
