Two paramedics and a paramedic student were taken to Royal University Hospital after their ambulance was rear-ended by a half-ton truck, reportedly travelling at a high speed. The 23 year old man driving that vehicle was also sent to hospital. Medavie Health Services says the ambulance was stopped at a red light on Marquis Drive and Highway 12 when the accident happened around two o’clock this morning (fri). The people in the ambulance have since been released from hospital. The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the scene. Saskatoon Police are investigating the cause.
