A busy Tuesday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders returned to the practice field.
Receiver Namaan Roosevelt participated, but G-M and head coach Chris Jones wasn’t ready to say whether he would play Saturday against visiting B-C. Also on the field was veteran rush end Charleston Hughes, whom Jones said is back on the team after missing last Saturday’s victory in Calgary because of an impaired driving charge.
“He should play,” said Jones. “We’re moving forward. It was an unfortunate event but we can’t just sit there and continue to pound away at it. It’s one of those things where anytime something negative happens we have to move forward at some point.”
Meanwhile. Riders quarterback Zach Collaros, B-C receiver DeVier Posey and Ottawa quarterback Trevor Harris are the top performers for Week 19 of the C-F-L season. Collaros kept the Green and White in the hunt for first place in the West Division, throwing for 352 yards in Saskatchewan’s 29-24 win at Calgary on Saturday.
