A court ruling on Saskatchewan’s challenge of the carbon tax is expected to come in 2019.  That’s from the province’s Environment Minister, Dustin Duncan.  The Trudeau government plans to impose the tax on jurisdictions without climate plans meeting their standards by January, something Duncan hoped they’d wait until after the court ruling to do. Now that Saskatchewan’s not the only province opposing the carbon tax, Duncan says he doesn’t know how the feds will impose it on a big chunk of the country in just two months.   Saskatchewan has challenged the constitutionality of the tax, a ruling on it is expected next year.
