Saskatoon Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery on Meewasin Trail which officers were told happened around 9:30 Monday night.
Police were told two people approached a woman walking near the train bridge.
They were allegedly armed with a knife and pulled away the victim’s backpack and struck her during the struggle.
The two then fled southbound on the trail without taking anything.
The man is described as being in his twenties with a slim build, medium height and short hair.
The woman was also described as being in her twenties, and was slim with shoulder length hair.
It’s believed both were about 5-foot-6.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
