The Langenburg and District Activity Centre has been supporting people with intellectual disabilities since 1980, and to keep it running and up to date, the province funded over $200-thousand for renovations.
The grand opening was earlier this week.
Some of the renovations include fully-accessible washrooms, expanded kitchen and program areas and landscaping improvements.
Government Relations Minister Warren Kaeding says it’s a great achievement for everyone involved and it’s improved quality of life for those that utilize the facility.
The activity centre supports 12 people with intellectual disabilities through its residential and day programs in Langenburg and Esterhazy.
