Humboldt RCMP received several complaints of rural thefts and break and enters over a 24 hour period earlier this week.
On Wednesday, the RCMP were told about a fuel theft from a farm yard in the RM of St. Peter.
That was the first of several rural property thefts.
The next day around 10:30 in the morning, the Humboldt RCMP conducted a traffic stop north of that city, but as an officer approached, the driver fled.
Later, the vehicle was found abandoned in a wooded area and was confirmed stolen out of Raymore.
A 28 year old man involved in a foot pursuit was taken into custody that afternoon.
Braeden Dosch of Annaheim in the RM of St. Peter is facing charges that include possession of stolen property over $5-thousand, break, enter and theft, mischief and resisting arrest.
The Humboldt RCMP thanks the public for reporting suspicious activity, and in turn, helping to solve these crimes.
Police believe the majority of the rural thefts in the past week are related, but the investigation is ongoing.
