Saskatoon Police say a man working at a convenience store was beat up during a robbery early this morning. Officers were called around 4:45 a.m. to the 3300 block of 8th Street east where the employee said two suspects, both male, had come into the store, went behind the front counter, and attacked the employee hitting him numerous times in the back and head. A till was thrown through the front door breaking the glass and an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes was stolen.
The employee was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. The first suspect is described as wearing a grey sweatsuit and a black hat. He also is believed to have been wearing white shoes. The second suspect was wearing a black and red shirt and sported a shorter hair cut. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
