Dawson Davidson is the WHL and CHL player of the week.
The 20-year-old defenseman from Moosomin had a goal and seven assists during last weeks four game Central Division road trip. Davidson also had a plus-six rating helping lead the bridge city bunch to three victories.
The former Kamloops Blazers and Regina Pats rearguard is also the top scoring defenseman in the Western Hockey League with two goals and eight assists and has points in five straight games.
The 5-foot-11, 181 pound left shot d-man has 26-goals and 126-points in 241 regular season career games in addition to two goals and three assists in 18 playoff games.
Davidson won the WHL award Tuesday and named the CHL winner Wednesday.
Davidson and the Blades open a five game home stand this Friday (7:05 p.m.) against the Red Deer Rebels and host the Eastern Division leading Prince Albert Raiders Sunday at 2 p.m.
